Following changes in dental guidance from NHS England we are now able to start seeing patients for urgent dental procedures at the practice.
Please note all patients must still have a remote telephone triage with the dentist before they can be seen face-to-face this is so we can risk assess those attending the practice, ensure both patient and staff safety and make sure we are able to address your dental problem.
Here at Hook Lane Dental Care, we are following the Government Guidelines and the regulations set by the General Dental Council and the British Dental Association.
Therefore, all routine treatment has been suspended until further notice.
Despite recent media claims that ‘UK Dental practices will be open from Monday 8th June 2020’ please note we will only re open Hook Lane Dental Practice if we can provide a environment that is safe for both our patients and our staff.
This is not a decision we have taken lightly but we feel it is our responsibility to protect our patients, staff and our families as well as the community as a whole. The decision to close the practice for physical access was a direct result of a high risk of aerosol contamination due to our dental equipment.
Please understand our entire dental team is continuously working behind the scenes by preparing the practice to make sure it meets infection control requirements and to test our robust protocols for protecting all users.
Rest assured as soon as we are certain it is safe to re-open our practice and allow face-to-face contact, we will let our patients know.
If you have a genuine dental emergency please call the practice on 0208 303 9579 as we are continuing to provide telephone triaging, as we have done since the outbreak.
